I’ve finally decided to get cracking on my next statue zine, but I’m doing it different this time around and would love your help! I’m slightly nervous to do this because I have no idea what the reaction will be…but the WORST thing that could happen is that no one wants and I’ll be a bit sad that my little plan didn’t work out, right? So, here goes…
To anyone who has a spare $10 they don’t mind parting with, I’ll send you a postcard detailing my misadventures one day this September as I travel and survive working as a living statue. Each postcard will have a completely different story and limited to an edition of 30 separate days as I fly to Brisbane and Melbourne next month, where I’ll record my very first EP and statue during Melbourne Fringe Festival. There may be some spill-over to when I’m home too but hey, Perth people make great stories too.
I’ll be drawing a little something, or developing some photos from disposable cameras to make the postcards. Whatever I have with me at the time…but I promise it will be lovely.
I will document the stories I post to the 30 lovely people supporting this, and making a zine of them later in the year
Does this make sense? I hope it makes sense and I hope you think it’s a good idea. I’ve been washing it around in my head for a while, and decided today that this was probably the best way to do it.
Also, if you’re wondering about the $10 ~~~ that’ll help pay for the production of the postcards, postage (anywhere in the wooooorrrrllllld. i’m making it free) and then maybe a little left over to ensure I don’t starve.
